From U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce, in Fort Pierce, go east on Seaway Drive to Indian River Drive (just before the south bridge). Turn right at Indian River Drive and go three block until you see the Manatee center for the entrance to the ramp. This ramp is closed from Nov. 15th until March 31, when the manatees are in Moore's Creek. This area has 6 ramps and pretty good parking. This is an excellent place for those looking to fish south of the bridges or head to the inlet. Be careful when heading to the channel stay within makers. Don't head straight to the bridge especially at low tide, a large sandbar is in the way.
